A chemical peel is a non-invasive cosmetic treatment that enhances the skin’s appearance by applying a chemical solution, causing the skin to exfoliate and peel off, revealing smoother, less wrinkled skin. The treatment comes in three depths:
1. Superficial (lunchtime) peel: A mild acid exfoliates the outer skin layer, improving mild discoloration, and rough skin, and refreshing the face, neck, chest, or hands.
2. Medium peel: A stronger acid penetrates the outer and middle skin layers, addressing age spots, fine lines, wrinkles, freckles, and moderate discoloration, also smoothing rough skin and treating precancerous growths.
3. Deep peel: A potent acid deeply penetrates the middle skin layer, dramatically improving skin appearance by removing moderate lines, age spots, freckles, and shallow scars. This treatment is only performed once on the face.
